Stanley Lim is currently the Chairman of the Singapore Logistics Association (SLA) for the Term 2016/2017. He the longest-serving Council Member and last helmed the association from 1992 to 2006. Presently, he returns to helm the Chairmanship from 2014 to 2018.
Mr Lim’s illustrious 40-year career in the logistics industry began after serving two years in the Singapore Customs (formerly Customs and Excise Department). He is currently the Group Chief Operating Officer of Addicon Logistics Management with headquarters in Singapore.
Mr Lim has been contributing to the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Association (FIATA) since 1991. He was elected to the Presidency as Senior Vice President (2001-2007) and Treasurer (2007-2011). At the FIATA World Congress in Cairo, Egypt, he was elected the President of the international organisation for 2011-2013. He is currently a member of the FIATA Extended Board, Chairs the FIATA World Congress Committee, and is Council member in the FIATA Foundation.
Mr Lim represents SLA in the ASEAN Federation of Forwarders Associations. He is currently the Secretary-General of the regional organisation. He is currently sitting in various Government Committees in Logistics, Trade Facilitation, and IT Trade connectivity. He leads the GeTS Trade Connectivity project for ASEAN 10 Trade connectivity and beyond.
In recognition of his valuable contributions, he was bestowed the PBM (Pingat Bakti Masyarakat (Public Service Award)) by the President of the Republic of Singapore in 2001. In 2006, Mr Lim won the Golden Chariot Award – Achievement for Strengthening International Relationships in the Transport Sector, at the ceremony held on 12 May 2016 in Shenzhen, China.
